Getting Started
Congrats on purchasing your new Antares Auto-Tune software! To begin, you’ll first need to create an account and register with Antares and iLok. If you have already made accounts, you don’t need to make new ones. Just make sure to continue using the same accounts.
Create an iLok account
Antares software is licensed with iLok. That means in order to use it, you will need to connect its iLok license to your computer either on your hard drive or an iLok USB stick. If you don’t already have an iLok account, you’ll need to create one and install the iLok License Manager app. Follow the steps below to get started. If you already have an iLok account, pass these steps and continue to Register Antares Auto-Tune. Learn more about iLok licensing in our iLok Quickstart Guide.
1. Visit iLok’s registration page and complete the registration form. Take note of your User ID and password.
2. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the verification link.
3. Download and install the iLok License Manager.
4. Launch the iLok License manager app and sign in to your iLok account.
- (optional) Connect an iLok USB dongle and when prompted, click Yes to register it to your account.
After your iLok account is created, continue to register with Antares.

Register with Antares
Before you can register your software with Antares, you first need to create an Antares account. Click here to log into your Antares account. We strongly recommend to write down your email address and password and keep them in a safe place. If you forget, they can be reset here. Once your Antares account has been created, you can register your software with Antares. Follow these steps:
1. Have the Software Activation Instructions email from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer handy and locate the Registration Code(e.g. 8002224700-BOSE AVID MESA MOTU KORG).
2. Complete the Antares registration form by entering the Registration Code, iLok User ID, and purchase information.
3. If you do not yet have an Antares account, click the Yes, I’d like to create an account checkbox and complete the form.
4. Once finished, click Authorize.

Double check that the iLok User ID you use for registration is associated with your iLok USB dongle. If you are not sure, sign in to the iLok License Manager and connect the iLok USB dongle to your computer. If the iLok has a red square around it, that means it is associated with a different User ID. Try accessing that account before registering with Antares.
After registering with Antares, continue to activate the iLok license.

After registering with Antares, your Auto-Tune license will be deposited into your iLok account. Use the iLok License Manager to transfer the license(s) to your iLok USB dongle. Follow the steps and GIF below.
1. Open the iLok License Manager application and sign-in with your iLok User ID.
2. Click the Available tab and locate your Auto-Tune license.
3. Drag & drop the license to your iLok USB dongle.
Once you have activated the iLok license, continue to download and install Auto-Tune.

Once your Auto-Tune software is registered and licensed, the next step is to download and install it. Make sure to select the version compatible with your host software(VST, AU, AAX), otherwise the plug-in won’t show up until you do.

Now that your product has been registered and activated to your iLok, you can download and install your Antares software. Go to the Antares Download page and click on your version of Auto-Tune. On the next page, click the download file compatible with your DAW. If you are not sure, download the option which installs every plug-in format(VST, AU, AAX). Once the software has been download to your computer it needs to be installed. Follow the instructions below to install your version of Auto-Tune.
1. Go to the Antares Download page and select your product.
- For THROAT, WARM, CHOIR, DUO, MUTATOR, ASPIRE, ARTICULATOR, PUNCH and SYBIL installers download the AVOX 4 installer.
- For Auto-Tune Vocal Studio, download Auto-Tune Pro and AVOX 4.
2. Click the plug-in version compatible with your DAW to download it. View Antares’ Host (DAW) Compatibility list to see which version you need.
3. Go to your Downloads folder and decompress the .zip file:
- PC: Select the Auto-Tune.zip folder and click Extract All. Click the Show extracted files when complete checkbox and click Extract.
- Mac: Double click the Auto-Tune.zip folder to extract the uncompressed folder. Double-click the new uncompressed folder.
4. Double click the Auto-Tune.exe or .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions.
After installing Auto-Tune, continue to insert it a DAW.

Launch your DAW and insert effect
Now that your Auto-Tune software has been installed it can be accessed from your DAW. Launch your DAW and insert your Auto-Tune plug-in to a track. That’s it!
Not showing up?
If Auto-Tune does not appear in your DAW, check your DAW preferences to update or rescan new plug-ins. Still not seeing Auto-Tune? Try reinstalling all compatible plug-in formats. Then, relaunch your DAW.
