I have found that the driver reverts to the one Win10 wants when the wheel gets disconnected between use.
I just reinstalled the drivers yesterday, and found they have reverted when plugging the wheel in again today.
I had the Logitech Download Assistant disabled in Startup a long time ago.
[EDIT: I just did some experimenting. I don't know why, but there seems to only be a problem over a period of
time. In the short term of a few minutes shutdown there seems to be no affect on the G27 being recognised.
I have tried with the wheel being left connected and removed and only reconnected after rebooting, and it
is still being recognised, but if I have the wheel disconnected over night the problem pops up again. ]
The strange thing is, the profiling software still says v. 5.10.127 even though it does not properly detect the G27.
It may be Windows is installing a different ( 'new') driver, but this does not affect the profiling software version number.
- I initially rebooted after uninstalling the driver Windows installs, as I do with all drivers, but I had to go off line to prevent Windows from doing it's own thing on reboot (there should be a brief message on reboot that Window
is installing the driver, but this may not always pop up ) .
I have found there is no need to reboot. Just uninstall via P&F and then reinstall.
