    Anyone know where I can download a programming and Macro manual for a Matrix controlled Variaxis.
    Looked on the Mazak website...not much there in the way of information.

    There's no where to download it per se. Matrix isn't that old of a control.... lost the books already?
    Check your machine disks.... Possibly the machine was purchased with the Optimizer discs? Other than that it's $$$ unless someone has a disc copy they can shoot to you...

    Didn't lose the books... I'm doing some contract programming and macro/process development for a guy with a Variaxis. He doesn't want the manuals leaving the building and I would rather work from home... I'm just spoiled because other controllers manuals I can just freely download...ohh well, I'll ask him to look on the disks if he has a copy.

    If he bought the Optimizer package with the machine, he'll have a full set of 'books' on CD. You can get a copy of the EIA Programming Manual (covers code and macros) from that....

    All manuals are inside the e-towers ( PC comes with e machines )

    eMachine manual won't be exactly the same as a Variaxis but will get you mostly there. There are quite a few codes and variables they do not share and some parameter references are different.... but a good idea..

    The pocket milling files and the Changing tool and getting back in the cut files have a file ext of .Pbf & .Pbb what program do you use to open them ?

    .pbb and .pbf are Matrix files
    I know pocket X/C pocket milling works on a fusion, but we don't have one here to check and I've tried a couple output formats, some of which work for some people, not for others. If someone has Griffo Bros Camlink, or Solution works MazaCam and uses a Fusion 640 control and wants to post a sample that works, I'll have Vici store it in her subdirectory as well.
    X/C pocket milling saves a bunch of effort. Still not sure why Mazak doesn't support it.
